To get information on upcoming audition dates, please fill out the form below. Audition signup infomation and materials will be emailed out July 1st.
Reduced tuition for the 2026-27 FYO season per semester will be:
Youth Symphony $150, Concert Orchestra $125, String Orchestra $100. That’s $5/hour of instruction!

We are excited and ready to begin a new school year filled with music and fun. At the bottom of this page is a link to schedule your audition.
Below is the audition material for all Fairbanks Youth Orchestras. A link to materials will be provided in your audition confirmation email as well.
About the Orchestra
FYO is three orchestras for all levels and instruments (string, brass, wind and percussion).
Saturday rehearsals at UAF
- Youth Symphony is at 9:30-12:00
- Concert Orchestra is at 9:30-11:45
- String Orchestra is 9:45-11:30

Tuition & Fees
This year a 50% tuition reduction is being sponsored by Fairbanks Symphony Association.
The 2026-27 fees per semester are:
- Youth Symphony $150
- Concert Orchestra $125
- String Orchestra $100
Parents and Musicians will need to complete registration and pay fees once the audition occurs. After the audition is scheduled, you may register in advance if you have experience with FYO.
Schedule Your Audition
Please submit one form per student. If you are registering multiple students for auditions, complete and submit a separate form for each student. Only one student may be included per submission.*
